Ok, ok. So not exactly ‘off grid’ as defined by the Oxford English but these past few months I’ve blogged less and less. Until last month… when I didn’t publish a blog post at all.
I haven’t fallen out with blogging or social media in any way. I still get instagram related thumb cramp like the best of them. I’ve just been taking some time back for me and chilling out. Since falling pregnant this time around I can totally appreciate the ‘constantly exhausted pigeon’ meme doing the rounds on Facebook. Read more
The amount of time it has been since I published a blog post, responded to an email or generally did anything that required me to move… or put any effort in at all unless I had no choice.
I’ve mainly been taking some time for me. I’ve read a book (The Chocolate Lovers Diet by Carole Matthews) which is usually unheard of, almost finished watching Grey’s Anatomy in it’s 13 series entirety and watched the final episode of Girls (we’re you as disappointed as me?!). Read more
Just lately, I am very aware of the fact that I haven’t been a great blogger. It’s not just my poor Life on Vista Street that I have been neglecting: My emails are mounting up by the day and I have a to do list as long as my arm.
And there in lie the joys of being a hobby blogger: there is no need to panic when life gets in the way. It just means that I’ll have more content when things calm down.
I just keep snapping away with my camera and sometimes am admittedly merrily distracted by box sets on Netflix and Bake Off (SIDE NOTE: Anyone else disappointed with the level of talent this year?! Few too many drama queens this year for me too). Read more
We moved from an old, mid terraced house that we had made into a comfortable home into a brand new house, with crisp white (none textured) walls, even floors and stacks of possibility.
My blog’s name originally derived from our previous address. I’m not *quite* silly enough to publish my actual address for the whole world to see: but I have always liked the word Vista… A long and pleasing view. Read more
