One of these days I’ll get around to giving Little Miss Vista a fashion show of all the gorgeous pieces for my wardrobe I’ve thrifted over the past few months. The last thrifty fashion post I shared (you can read it here) was really well received and I LOVED producing it… but sadly I just don’t get the time to shop, style and shoot as much as I used to.
When it comes to thrifting items of clothing, I only have three rules:
1. It’s over a fiver it has to be *really* special. 2. No holes, no bobbles, no stains. 3. If I don’t have anything I can wear it with already in my wardrobe – put it back.Read more
I took my mum for her first visit to the Manchester Christmas Markets at the beginning of November – just in time for the very first weekend. For those in the same boat wondering where on earth to stay last minute, I give you: The Best Hotels For Manchester Christmas Markets …
Shock celebrity deaths, Brexit and President Trump to name but a few events… but one of the most significant to me? My family moving into a lovely and very happily welcomed new home. But this happy event was over shadowed by a close family member under going treatment for cancer.
The good news is that he is well on the mend. The bad news is that I feel like it may take a little while longer for the emotional scars to heal in our immediate family. But this is something we can work on together – safe in the knowledge that we are all together.
2016 also marked the year that my Mum turned 60.
We celebrated the day with cherry scones and pink lemonade at Bents, but this was about as far as the celebrations went. Not just the logistics of working around a sick family member, a toddler and a house move… but it just seemed as though none of us were in the party spirit. Read more
It seems that 2016 has been a crazy year… and it’s about to get crazier. The Only Way is St Helens this Christmas as The Only Way is Essex stars prepare to appear in the St Helens Theatre Royal’s Christmas Panto – ALADDIN.
Elsa and Anna get their skates on for winter 2016 as Disney On Ice presents Frozen to Liverpool for the First Time In FOREVER…. Geddit?!
“Enter a fantastical winter wonderland beyond imagination when Disney On Ice presents Frozen.”
Disney on Ice announced that its 34th Disney On Ice spectacular will bring the Academy Award® winning and number one animated feature film of all time, Disney’s Frozen, to life. Frozen On Ice is set to mesmerise audiences when the show skates into Echo Arena Liverpool from 30 November – 4 December for 9 magical shows.
The entire Academy Award® winning tale will be told live for the first time in this brand new production, capturing the dynamic between the two royal sisters. Anna, a girl with an extraordinary heart, embarks on an epic journey to find her sister, the magical Elsa, who is determined to remain secluded as she finally feels free to test the limits of her freezing powers.
Rugged mountain man Kristoff (people smell better than reindeer), his loyal reindeer Sven (reindeer’s are better than people), the lovable and hilarious snowman Olaf and the mystical trolls help Anna along the way in this story about love conquering fear. Audiences will get to sing along with such musical masterpieces as “Let it Go,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “Fixer Upper.”
I am so looking forward to seeing the story up close, the costumes and the set design: not to mention the talent of the cast on ice.
Will Elsa’s magic will be enhanced by state-of-the art special effects? We can’t wait to see! Producers Nicole Feld and Kenneth Feld have selected the brightest and most creative minds in the industry to put together this spectacular show.
Tickets go on sale on Friday 20 May at 9am – HURRY! Don’t miss out!
