If you are in the habit of having a roast every Sunday like we are, then it would be SO easy to make your own stock to use on Christmas day. Not only would it cut down your waste and cost you nothing but a little longer on the hob, but it’ll be tastier by miles – How To Make Your Own Christmas Day Stock.

It’s been a week and a half since we moved into our new home and with all of the sunshine we have been treated with recently we are using our new garden (we had a little yard before) like another room of our house.

This past week I’ve shared with you a few websites that I have been using to find recipes to use up the food stuffs that I already had in the house pre-pay day. Here and here!
But pay day has been and gone and our kitchen is well stocked once more.
I very rarely buy cake these days (unless it is a very special occasion and I’m super rushed for time), because not only do I not want temptation in my way a lot of the time the goodies we buy are just not worth the syns!
We buy lots and lots and of fruit… but that doesn’t mean to say that the fruit doesn’t end up on a cake… especially if I can make that cake for less than my daily syns allowance. Passion Fruit Cupcakes don’t last long for three reasons: The recipe contains no refined sugar to preserve it, it has a fresh cream (or quark) topping and filling… and they’re just too damn tasty to leave alone.
This could be the perfect home-made treat for Mother’s Day or a delicious no junk treat for Easter. You could amend the recipe to make it as naughty or nice as you like!
