RUSH Hair and Beauty Deansgate: Review

I usually spend my Thursday nights as a golf widow – but don’t pity me. I revel in it. I spend a few hours after Little Miss has gone to bed in front of the TV watching whatever I like, usually with food items that are *not* Slimming World friendly drifting in and out of social media.

Blissful.

But Thursday last week? Well… This Cinderella was given the night off to hot foot it down to Manchester Town (thats a thing right?!) and meet my RLBFF Polkadot Pink for a grown up coffee at Pot Kettle Black before we ventured just down the road to RUSH Hair and Beauty for an evening of treats.

Greeted by the lovely ladies from Tank PR, I felt like a princess from the start. Everything was so clean and sleek and brand new… And they had air conditioning (always a massive plus for me in a hairdressers).

So with fizz in hand (well, opening a new Northern Flagship is a MASSIVE celebration, non?) I went to investigate further. I sat down with a stylist (and some canapes) to ask what really makes a good haircut?

The proof is in the next wash… can you restyle your hair with ease? If so then you should keep your hairdresser forever as ease in restyle, I’m told, is the trick of recognising a good cut. You can read a post a wrote about finding the right stylist for you here.

You know that weakness I have for monochrome and brights? This salon channels this perfectly. It really is somewhere lovely to sit whilst you have your hair done.

RUSH say:

“At Rush Hair we can advise you on all different lengths and styles. If you’re looking for a short cropped style, a one layered bob or long locks with volume our cutting expert team will be able to offer you a style to suit your lifestyle and face shape.”

I had a half up half down do. I was looking for 1950’s chic. I thought it was stunning. This was the work of Lucy – she is the girl to go to for the ultimate up-do.

All of the staff were so friendly – this is something I love in a salon.

The salon on Deansgate is a perfect location to call in for a blow dry before meeting friends somewhere trendy for dinner or drinks (psst – it’s across the road from the Botanist!) and will only set you back £22.50 per blow.

If you are a blow dry junkie like me then you can pre-pay for three and get one free! (there are some terms and conditions so check their website or ask them on twitter.)

And then I went home to my Prince Charming… but not before receiving *the best* bag of goodies. Keep a look out on instagram!

Highly recommended.
