Spring 2016 Capsule Wardrobe

This pay-day was the first one in a very long time where I did something very ‘frivolous’. As well you know, dear reader, money doesn’t come easily on Vista Street but I am now at a point in my weight loss journey where re-styling my size 16’s and 18’s just won’t cut it.

I’m now very happy to say that I am a (more than ample) UK size 14.

At.

Freaking.

Last…

I’ve worked really hard to get to this point and do hope to continue my journey until I’m at familiar pre-pregnancy size 12.

But for now, and for this and the next season, I’d like to feel about my clothes as good as I feel on the inside.

Armed with a budget of around £300 for a whole new wardrobe (knickers, bras and at least one new handbag inclusive!) I set to picking key items that I’d fallen in love with in my favourite high-street stores and made myself a wardrobe that will easily rotate whatever the whether or occasion.

*Ahem* Ok, ok. So those bra’s may have to go onto the ‘magic card’ until next month… but I really do need three pairs of shoes and two hand bags.

Honest.

  1. So. many. pretty. things.

I truly wish I had an eye for this stuff like you do. I’m rubbish at putting outfits together.

I love the Matalan Jeans and Shirt combo – always very reasonably priced there too. xx

  2. I love these pieces, especially the New Look section. I actually have the top in cream as it is baggy enough to cover my bump and I’ll be grateful of the bagginess once the bump is here. I also end up buying about 3 pairs of their ballet pumps each Spring in different colours, I love the price as then I don’t feel too guilty wearing them to death and then binning them as it turns colder. xx
